Course Objectives
This Course is intended to introduce experienced CAD users to the basic functionalities, workflows and best practices of Advance Steel. Students will explore and learn hands on the tools to create detailed 3D Steel models and generate documentation such as GA plans, Bill of Materials and Shop Drawings based on predefined standards. While going through most of the Advance Steel commands, students will have the opportunity to test these tools on a sample model that is being built from scratch during the training.

Students are expected to have:
• an advanced level of computer literacy
• an advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD
• a sound working knowledge and understanding of Structural Shop Detailing practices
• an understanding of Steel Detailing documentation requirements
