Revit MEP Fundamentals - PLUS

This course is designed to teach the core Revit functionality as you would work with it in the design process. The Instructor-led training focuses on fundamental tools that the majority of users need to work with Revit MEP and the self-paced Guided E-Learning continues the development of concepts and procedures.

The Instructor-led phase of the course covers the core topics for working with Revit MEP. The teaching strategy is focus on the fundamental modelling tools and concepts to create and edit a full 3D project. PLUS course Students can continue through more advanced design tools and concepts online with 12 months access to Self-paced E-Learning.

Delivery Mode
In a new approach to learning Revit MEP, we have put together a combination of Instructor-led and Guided E-learning to maximise your learning experience and reduce the amount of time out-of-office.
Phase 1 - 2 days Instructor-led Group Training (09:00 - 16:30)
Phase 2 - 12 months access to self-paced E-learning: Revit MEP – The Complete Guide (refer to terms and conditions on login)

Login details for A2K Technologies and Global E-Training online library will be provided at the Instructor-led training.
Access to Guided E-Training is for 12 months.

An A2K Technologies “Certificate of Attendance” will be issued following the 2 days Instructor-led Training
An Autodesk “Certificate of Completion” will be issued on successful completion of the E-Learning course

Course Objectives
On completion of this course students will have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of commands and concepts that develop the skills necessary to demonstrate competency in:
• Describing the benefits of building information modelling
• Using the fundamental features of Revit MEP
• Setting up, importing, and linking projects with Revit MEP
• Using the parametric 3D design tools to design and analyse MEP systems
• Creating Detail and Drafting Views
• Collaborating with Architects and Engineers on projects
• Annotating and creating project schedules
• Creating construction documentation

Phase 1 - Instructor-led Training will focus on the core concepts and commands based around the topics listed below.
Introduction to Autodesk Revit MEP...Starting Revit MEP Projects...Spaces & Zones...Performance Analysis...Autodesk Revit MEP Systems...Views...HVAC Systems...Basic Drawing and Editing Tools...Electrical Systems...Hydronic Piping Systems...Plumbing SystemsTags & Schedules...Detailing in Revit MEP...Annotating Construction Documents...Construction Documents

Phase 2 - Guided E-Learning
Revit MEP - The Complete Guide: is designed specifically for the Building Services Engineer, covering mechanical, electrical and plumbing services from a design and drafting perspective. With unprecedented levels of communication potential and an easy workflow for handling client revisions and design development, Revit provides a platform for well-managed and co-ordinated deliverables from concept through to fabrication. Revit MEP - The Complete Guide: directs the user around the software interface and core toolset before being taken through a series of ‘Let Me Try’ tasks which not only provide an insight into the Revit approach, but also explain best practice protocols and practical techniques along the way.
Guided E-Learning Topics: Introduction to Autodesk Revit MEP…Getting Started with an MEP Project…Creating Datums, Project Views, and Building Envelopes…Spacing, Zones, and Cooling and Heating Load Analysis…Creating a Mechanical System…Creating an Electrical System…Creating a Plumbing System…Creating Fire a Protection System…Creating Construction Documents…Creating Families and Worksharing
