Dynamo for Revit - Intro PLUS course

The Dynamo Fundamentals Course is designed to provide the founding tools to understand Dynamo and through practical class Instructor-led exercises, ensures that the student is able to use Dynamo when they go back to work.

Description

The Dynamo Fundamentals Course is designed to provide the founding tools to understand Dynamo and through practical class Instructor-led exercises, ensures that the student is able to use Dynamo when they go back to work. The simple Dynamo Graphs that the student will build during class time, can easily be modified and incorporated into a Revit workflow.

Dynamo is the 'AutoCAD scripting' that allow a sequence on known revit commands to be used in conjunction with each other. Being a 'visual open source' program, reverse engineering is achievable with clean and consistent setup that s taught in the course.

Who should attend and Course Prerequisites

This course is designed for experienced users of Revit that include:

  • General long term Revit users (min 2 years)
  • Super Users
  • BIM Managers
  • Architects (Façade, Interior, Building),
  • Structural (façade, Building, Geotechnical, Civil Structure)
  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic)
  • Builders / Sub-Contractors
  • Other Non-Consulting Building Industry Services

Students are expected to have:

  • a sound level of computer literacy
  • an understanding of Revit Design and Drafting
  • an understanding of Architectural/Structural documentation requirements

Delivery Mode

One Day Instructor-led Classroom training manually building practical Dynamo Graphs.

Course Contents

On completion of this course students will have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of commands and concepts to further develop their skills in Dynamo.

Courseware

Dynamo is a fluid, quickly evolving software and because the development of Dynamo is open-source the class is constantly updated and any documented manuals become superseded within months.  There for Students will receive a once only follow-up email that contains:

  • The Training Days Datasets
  • Links to Dynamo Web sites to add to their Bookmarks
  • Online forum locations to further develop their Dynamo Graphs
  • A collection of blogs containing Dynamo examples and information
  • Dataset of "Best Nodes to Use" starting Dynamo Graph

Certificates

An A2K Technologies “Certificate of Attendance” will be issued following the 1 day Instructor-led Training.
