Autodesk InfraWorks 360

This course is designed for professionals working in the areas of Civil Engineering, Planning, Architecture and others needing to quickly learn how to use this powerful design, planning and presentation software.

Description

This course will enable the user to manage larger-scale models and generate early design concepts more effectively in the context of the built environment. The user will explore the use of the add-on modules as well as other features like Model Builder, Corridor and Profile Optimization, and InfraWorks in the cloud.

Course Contents

On completion of this course students will have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of commands and concepts and develop the skills necessary to demonstrate competency in:

 

Day 1
• Navigate the Autodesk InfraWorks user interface

• Create new models from scratch

• Incorporate existing data sources into the model

• Rapidly generate new design concepts

• Add essential detail to the new design

• Display features according to data behind the model

• Create new styles according to project requirements

• Analyse a model to ensure that project constraints are met

• Collaborate with other project team members

• Create high impact visualizations of the project.

• Generate videos by using storyboards

 

Day 2
• Communicate the design to stakeholders

• Create and modify design roads with precise parameters

• Intersection and Roundabout Design for InfraWorks 360

• Optimize the vertical design of a roadway and analyse it to ensure that project requirements are met

• Create AutoCAD Civil 3D plan and profile sheets from a design road

• Use the Bridge Design for InfraWorks 360 Module to add bridges to a design roadway

• Use the Drainage Design for InfraWorks 360 Module to run a watershed analysis and create or modify culverts

• Land Areas and Grading

• Component Roads

• Enhanced Workflow between InfraWorks 360 and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Who should attend and Course Prerequisites

No previous CAD experience is required, but students are expected
to have:
• a sound level of computer literacy
