AutoCAD Civil 3D - Advanced

The AutoCAD Civil 3D Advanced course is designed for Civil Engineers and Surveyors who want to take advantage of AutoCAD Civil 3Ds interactive, dynamic design functionality. AutoCAD Civil 3D permits the rapid development of alternatives through its model-based design tools. You will learn techniques enabling you to model road corridors, perform grading and volume calculation tasks, and lay out pipe networks.

Description

Corridor (from Autodesk)The Civil 3D Advanced course is an extension for students who have already understood the fundamentals and wish to progress to more challenging topics.

On completion of this course students will have been given the opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of commands and concepts that develop the skills necessary to demonstrate competency in the following areas:

  • Creating profiles and cross-sections
  • Creating assemblies, corridors, and cross-sections, and calculate corridor volumes
  • Creating complex grading solutions
  • Creating pipe networks

Who should attend and Course Prerequisites

This course is designed for experienced users of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
It is recommended that students have:

  • Completed AutoCAD Civil 3D - Fundamentals course or equivalent
  • A knowledge and Understanding of documentation for Civil Engineering
  • A thorough understanding of Civil Engineering Principles and Terminology 
  • A high degree of computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
